Create your own painting in a relaxed atmosphere, guided by our professional tutor. Painting sessions are open to all ages and abilities, especially the complete beginner. They are a great shared experience for family and friends but also perfect for the lone traveller.

Painting sessions take place outside in small groups on the lakeshores of St.Gilgen.

Price: €40 per person, for an hour and a half session, including all materials and tuition.

Sessions normally take place in the morning but timings are weather dependant.

Our tutor is also available throughout the year for individual or group courses in painting, drawing, printing, and ceramics.
Are you a complete beginner?

We know that sometimes painting and sketching might seem like a nerve-wracking thing to do. But our tutor is an experienced teacher who believes that talent is not god-given, rather it is nurtured through simple, learnable techniques and gentle encouragement aimed at building self-belief and self-esteem.

Meet your tutor
​
Kirsty is a professional artist and teacher. She has over ten years of experience teaching art to children and adults and continues to make her own work and exhibit. She is a trained painter with a Bachelors and Masters degrees in Fine Art, alongside having a PGCE teacher diploma.
​
Kirsty was born and brought up in Bristol, in the UK, but moved to Austria in 2010 and now lives in St.Gilgen. The locals say her German is quite good, but she feels they may be being overly generous. However, she considers herself a local now and knows the area well so you are in good hands.
​
Kirsty is known for her friendly and approachable nature and is experienced in teaching absolute beginners. You will not be judged on your ability to paint or not paint, rather she feels it is her job to make you feel at ease and teach you skills and techniques that will make you feel proud of your work.
